Responsibilities

• Facilitates response to requests for services, including initial response, assessment and referral process, designation of level of care, admission into services, and follow-up activity.
• Conducts initial evaluation, initiates assessment, documents patient symptomology, functioning, and needs and provides information to MD for LOC determination.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service to patients, physicians, visitors, and coworkers in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Maintains preadmission and admission paperwork with accuracy, and completes pre-certification with insurance companies.
• Possesses knowledge of Emergency Detention paperwork, processes and EMTALA.

How You'll Contribute

• Facilitates response to a request for services, including the initial response, the assessment, and referral process, the designation of the appropriate level of care, admission into services, and appropriate follow up activity


• Conducts initial evaluation, initiates the assessment, documents patient symptomology, functioning, and needs and provides information to MD for LOC determination


• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills in assisting patients, physicians, visitors, and coworkers in a prompt and courteous manner


• Possess clear knowledge of Emergency Detention paperwork, processes and EMTALA


• Maintains all preadmission and admission paperwork with accuracy, and completes all pre-certification with insurance companies with insurance companies

What We're Looking For

Applicants should hold a Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field from an accredited school (required), or an Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited school (required) per state regulations. Additional requirements include:

• Current clinical, Social Work or RN license as required by state regulations


• Prior experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility working with adult and geriatric patients preferred. Must have strong clinical assessment skills.


• CPR certification is required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.


• De-escalation certification is required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
