Qualifications

• Must be approved and selected by Ohio State Apprenticeship Council as an apprentice.
• High School diploma or equivalent and CDCA or agreement to obtain a CDCA within program timeframe.
• Current enrollment in an academic program to prepare for certification or licensure.
• Maintains the required certification in good standing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with regulations governing disclosure of client information and confidentiality.
• Adheres to Counselor's Code of Ethics.
• Ability to work with agency staff, outside contacts, and a diverse client population.

Responsibilities

• Completes learning and professional development plan with a supervisor.
• Maintains attendance and coursework completion in related instruction.
• Maintains confidential, accurate case files for assigned clients.
• Prepares reports and documentation per policies and procedures.
• Assists with intake and initial assessments under supervision.
• Develops treatment plans with clients under mentor direction.
