Job summary

Discovery Behavioral Health is seeking an Admission Coordinator I to respond to inquiries and drive commitments to care, coordinating referrals and gathering essential information for the admissions process.

You will verify insurance, educate families on levels of care, input data into the CRM/EHR, and maintain timely communications with the treatment team and business office. This on-site role in Irvine features a Monday-Sunday schedule and pay in the $18–$29/hr range.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong Excel/Word/PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow the checklist to ensure all steps to an admission have been properly taken.
• Keep referral information up to date and in an accessible location.
• Effectively discern if a caller meets initial criteria (within 2-3 minutes).
• Efficiently refer caller out to network partners if and when they fail to qualify.
• Speak passionately about the program while controlling the flow and direction of the call.
• Obtain referral and treatment team information; Gather insurance info and initiate verification.
• Educate families on levels of care and Medical Necessity noting difference between benefit and authorization.
• Keep family engaged in communication and informed of next steps.
• Conduct pre-admission screenings; Gather medical data/records and clinical data.
