Qualifications

• 1–3 years healthcare experience preferred, behavioral health/mental health preferred.
• Experience with insurance verification and pre-certification processes preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and third-party reimbursement programs.
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process incoming admissions documents (electronic and fax).
• Verify insurance coverage and communicate with nursing/admissions teams.
• Complete insurance pre-certifications and document outcomes accurately.
• Maintain documentation and close out S-Faxes.
• Time-stamp and organize incoming documentation.
• Assist with hospital codes and emergency situations as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Support departmental projects and additional administrative duties.
