Job summary

TGH Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking an Activity Therapist to support psychiatric patients within Lifepoint Health's network in Tampa. You will implement therapeutic activities and coordinate with the care team to meet patient goals.

Responsibilities include assessing needs, building plans, documenting progress, and updating treatment goals as conditions change. A compassionate, team-focused professional with CTRS/MT-BC is preferred and CPR/CPI training within 30 days is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy or related field required.
• CPR certification and CPI training within 30 days may be required.
• Experience in a psychiatric health care facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs using cultural, religious, and physical considerations.
• Documents patient responses to interventions in treatment records.
• Formulates initial and subsequent treatment programs per orders.
• Develops care plans with specific, measurable goals.
• Delivers therapy procedures according to the treatment plan.
• Reassesses and updates goals as patient's condition changes.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy or related field (CTRS/MT-BC/ATR/ATR-BC/ATR-P/LPAT)
