Job summary

Triangle Springs, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking an Activities Therapist to join our behavioral health team in Raleigh. The role focuses on delivering therapeutic activities, assessing patient needs, and developing treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team.

You will document progress, adjust plans as patients improve or decline, and provide engaging, goal-oriented activities aligned with each patient’s treatment orders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy or related field required.
• CPR certification and CPI or equivalent training preferred or required within 30 days.
• Experience in psychiatric or behavioral health settings is preferred.
• Strong documentation and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Apply theory and standards for therapeutic activities and decisions.
• Assess patient needs considering culture, religion, and disability.
• Document progress and treatment responses regularly.
• Develop and update treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Provide therapy according to plan and coordinate with the treatment team.
• Maintain communication with staff and physicians and adjust as needed.
• Contribute to program quality and patient engagement through activities.
• Report changes to the treatment team and update goals when needed.
