Job summary

Delta-T Group Los Angeles, Inc. is seeking a Behavioral Aide to support high-risk children and youth in foster care homes. You will engage with youths, help with schoolwork, and provide line-of-sight supervision without overwhelming the child while redirecting negative behaviors under the caregiver’s guidance.

Evening and weekend shifts are available as long term independent contractor or part-time work. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, CPR and First Aid certification, a TB

Qualifications

• Experience working with at-risk individuals.
• Must have High School Diploma or GED, CPR and First Aid certification, TB test.
• Background checks may be required.

• Provide services for high and at-risk children and youth with behavior and/or mental health challenges.
• Majority of work will be in Foster Care Homes, under the direction of caregiver/foster parent.
• Engage with the youths; assist with schoolwork and inquire about likes/dislikes.
• Provide line-of-sight supervision without overwhelming the child.
• Redirect negative and problematic behaviors.

CLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Experience working with at risk individuals (paid or unpaid)
• Produce current medical/health documents including: physical examination, Tuberculosis/TB Skin Test, CPR, and First Aid certification
• High School diploma or higher
• Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.
