Job summary

Delta-T Group is seeking a Behavioral Health Aide to support students in Los Angeles, CA. You will work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning and social skills under supervision, contributing to progress toward IEP goals.

Contract positions offer flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, with weekly compensation and opportunities to grow professionally within a broad network of opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
• 2 years experience working with at risk youth.
• Arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.
• Must be able to produce current medical/health documents including: physical examination, Tuberculosis/TB Skin Test, CPR, and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Works with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning and social skills initially introduced by the teacher or other professional.
• Assist in the implementation of the IEP for the student and helps monitor progress.
• Documents student's daily activities (e.g. behavior, assignment completion, etc.) for the purpose of completing daily logs.

• Maintains appropriate workplace decorum including adhering to the schedule as outlined.
• Works with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning and social skills initially introduced by the teacher or other professional.
• Assist in the implementation of the IEP for the student and helps monitor progress.
• Documents student's daily activities (e.g. behavior, assignment completion, etc.) for the purpose of completing daily logs.

CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of a Bachelors Degree (preferred)
• 2 years experience working with at risk youth.
