Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking a Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children on individualized behavior plans under BCBA supervision. Training is provided, and you will apply evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patience, and compassionate interaction. Position involves standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with a pay range of $16-$23 per hour.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and TB test
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Registered Behavior Technician Certification required within 45 days of onboarding requirements

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under the guidance of a BCBA to implement individualized behavior intervention plans.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
• Reduce interfering behaviors and promote skill acquisition.
• Collaborate with team and participate in comprehensive training provided.
