Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking a Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized behavior plans under the guidance of a BCBA. You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.

We provide comprehensive training; the role requires patience, compassion, and teamwork. You’ll be standing/walking and lifting up to 50 pounds at times. Pay range is $18-$25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications and a TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Candidate will obtain RBT certification after onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior plans under BCBA supervision.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
• Support children with autism in a safe, supportive environment.
