Job summary

Centria Autism in Aumsville, Oregon, is seeking a Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children who have autism under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Training will be provided, and you will help teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.

You will work in a supportive team, ensuring safety and positive progress for clients while gaining valuable hands-on experience in behavioral analysis.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year)
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squad, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under the guidance of a BCBA to implement behavior intervention plans.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
• Contribute to a supportive team environment and maintain client safety.
