Job summary

Centria Autism in Eugene, OR is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism one-on-one under a BCBA.

You will use evidence-based strategies to teach communication, social and daily living skills, and to reduce challenging behaviors. The role includes hands-on training, standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and a willingness to move throughout the day. This position offers meaningful impact and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Patience and compassion to work with children with autism.
• Team player with ability to work in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• CPR and First Aid certification and TB test required.
• Background check must be passable.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to stand, walk, bend, sit as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
• Follow instructions from a BCBA and support progress toward each child’s goals.
• Document progress and maintain a safe, supportive environment for clients.
