Job summary

Centria is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism in our Oregon program. Training will be provided, and you will implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA.

You will teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques. The role requires patience, compassion, and teamwork, with physical activity including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven't had one in the last year)
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to children with autism.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills.
• Assist with safety and mobility during activities and routines.
