Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism. You will work one-on-one, implementing individualized intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA and using evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.

Ideal candidates are patient, compassionate, and team-oriented. Training is provided; physical ability to sit, stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform varied positions is required.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and TB test
• Background check required
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Can lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
• Help reduce interfering behaviors and monitor progress.
• Participate in training and collaborate with the team to support each child.
