Job summary

ABA Centers of Florida in Jacksonville, FL is hiring a Behavior Technician (BT) to support individuals with autism in homes, centers, and communities. This full-time role offers paid training to become an RBT and a clear path for advancement.

Starting rate is $19.35 per hour, with final compensation based on experience and credentials. Benefits include PTO, health insurance options, 401(k), and scholarship opportunities, plus paid RBT training.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age (21 years or older if located in New Jersey).
• Availability during after-school hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and car insurance for in-home services.
• Must maintain clean background/drug screenings and driving record.
• BT: attend the 40-hour paid training and pass RBT exam within 45 days of hire.
• RBT: attend required paid training program.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with autism in homes, communities, or centers.
• Teach daily living and social skills using evidence-based treatments.
• Collect, organize, and summarize unbiased data during sessions.
• Collaborate in clinical meetings and ongoing training.
• Implement training and therapy sessions designed by a BCBA.
• Communicate effectively with RBTs, BCBAs, families, and directors.
• Perform clerical and administrative duties as assigned.
