Job summary

ABS Kids in California is seeking Behavior Technicians to support children with autism using ABA therapy. We offer flexible part-time shifts, a bilingual pay premium, and on-the-job training to become a registered behavior technician.

You will collect data, implement one-on-one sessions, and help children develop daily living skills in client homes and community settings while earning for a rewarding career.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience working with children or adults with special needs.
• Fluent in Spanish and English strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to clients with autism spectrum disorder.
• Collect and record data on client behavior and progress.
• Use ABA therapy and play to teach real-life skills.
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for clients and staff.
• Travel to client homes and other locations as needed.

Job Requirements

Are you bilingual in Spanish/English or another language? If so, you can earn an additional $1.00/hour (premium pay) when matched with bilingual-required client sessions. $1,000 bonus for current RBTs. We have variable part-time shifts available for entry-level Behavior Technicians up to seasoned RBTs. Must have one of these availabilities, Monday – Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm, or 9:00am-6:00pm, or 12:00pm-7:00pm, or 3:00pm-7:00pm.

• Get up and down off floor often, move quickly

You Have

• 6+ months of experience working with children (any setting) or adults with special needs - make sure this is on your resume or application!
• A heart for helping kids
• A calm, steady presence
• Eagerness and energy to play
• Reliable transportation to travel to client homes and other locations
• Tech savviness - learn our data collection software and use basic office software
• Fluent in Spanish and English strongly preferred
