Job summary

ABS Kids in Pomona, CA is seeking caring individuals to support children with autism through ABA-based therapy and one-on-one client sessions.

No experience? We’ll teach you on the job, and there’s paid RBT certification, mileage reimbursement, and a strong benefits package. Bilingual Spanish/English candidates can earn premium pay and enjoy career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience working with children or adults with special needs.
• Fluent in Spanish and English preferred.
• Reliable transportation to travel to client homes and locations.
• Willingness to learn ABA therapy basics and data recording.

Responsibilities

• Make a difference in the life of a child using play and ABA techniques.
• Collect and record data on client behavior and progress.
• Provide one-on-one support to clients with autism spectrum disorder.
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for clients and staff.
• Help the child develop essential life skills and daily living tasks.
• Assist with movement and transitions, including getting up and down from the floor.

Job Requirements

Are you bilingual in Spanish/English or another language? If so, you can earn an additional $1.00/hour (premium pay) when matched with bilingual-required client sessions.

$1,000 bonus for current RBTs.

Must have one of these availabilities, Monday - Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm, or 9:00am-6:00pm, or 12:00pm-7:00pm, or 3:00pm-7:00pm.

• Increase for RBT certification

You Will

• Get up and down off floor often, move quickly

You Have

• 6+ months of experience working with children (any setting) or adults with special needs - make sure this is on your resume or application!
• A heart for helping kids
• A calm, steady presence
• Eagerness and energy to play
• Reliable transportation to travel to client homes and other locations
• Tech savviness - learn our data collection software and use basic office software
• Fluent in Spanish and English strongly preferred
