Job summary

FirstSteps for Kids, Inc. is seeking a Behavior Technician to help young children with autism learn communication, play, and independence, through one-on-one work across Northern and Southern California.

No prior ABA experience is required; we provide training and cover your RBT certification. Both full-time and part-time schedules are available, with opportunities for growth and advancement within the team.

Qualifications

• Patient, dependable, and enjoys working with kids.
• Experience with children through work, school, or volunteering is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle + insurance.
• Comfortable getting on the floor to play and moving quickly when needed.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with young children to develop communication, play, and independence.
• Provide hands-on behavioral support and track progress.
• Assist with training and certification for RBT and related tasks.

Behavior Technician | $23–25/hr + Paid RBT Certification
Help young children with autism learn to communicate, play, and build independence. No experience needed, we train you and pay for your certification.

At FirstSteps for Kids, you'll work one-on-one with young children, building the communication, play, and everyday-life skills that help them succeed at home, in school, and in their community. You'll see the small wins up close: a first word, a first friendship, a child doing something today they couldn't do last week. And the skills you help teach now don't just shape a good day, they change the trajectory of a child's whole future.
