Job summary

Burnett Therapeutic Services in California is seeking a part-time Behavior Technician to work 1:1 with children with autism or developmental delays. Shifts are 2-8pm, Monday to Sunday, in-home or in-clinic across Livermore, Hayward, Fremont, Berkeley.

Hourly pay ranges from $20 to $24 depending on experience and training, with an increase after RBT certification. You'll help children build communication, social, play, and daily living skills through structured, play-based activities in various

Qualifications

• Must complete 40-hour RBT training prior to employment.
• RBT certification not required to apply, but 40-hour training must be completed before start date.
• Must obtain RBT certification within 6 months of employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
• CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain during onboarding).
• TB test, MMR & Varicella Immunization, and Pre-employment Physical (within past year).
• Background check (FBI & DOJ)

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one behavior support through fun, individualized activities.
• Implement behavior intervention plans designed by BCBA.
• Collect data on client progress accurately.
• Communicate regularly with families to provide updates and support.
• Participate in ongoing training, team meetings, and supervision sessions.
