Job summary

Burnett Therapeutic Services, Inc. is hiring a Behavior Technician in California. The role involves 1:1 work with children with autism in-home or in-clinic, with sessions typically 2–3 hours long. Schedule is 2–8pm, Monday to Sunday, with a flexible, part-time arrangement.

You will deliver tailored behavior support, implement plans by BCBA/BCBAs, and track progress while collaborating with families and a dedicated training team. RBT certification is encouraged and supported.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience working or volunteering with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Spanish-speaking is a plus.
• Must complete a 40-hour RBT training course prior to employment.
• RBT certification is not required to apply, but the 40-hour training must be completed before start date.
• Must obtain RBT certification within 6 months of employment.
• CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain during onboarding).
• Background check is required (FBI & DOJ).

Responsibilities

• Delivering one-on-one behavior support through fun, individualized activities.
• Implementing behavior intervention plans designed by BCBA/BCBAs.
• Collecting and recording data on client progress accurately.
• Communicating regularly with families to provide updates and support.
• Participating in ongoing training, team meetings, and supervision sessions.
