Job summary

Centria is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children who have autism, under the supervision of a BCBA. You will teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques while helping reduce challenging behaviors.

Paid training is provided, with a focus on compassionate collaboration in a dynamic team environment. Physical activity is required, including lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.) and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Reduce interfering behaviors.
• Move competitively with children and support safety.
• Work in a team to support client progress.
