Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism in one-on-one sessions under the supervision of a BCBA. You will implement individualized behavior plans and help teach communication, social and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

We provide comprehensive training and require no prior experience. You must be patient, compassionate, and a strong team player; the role involves standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, stand, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Registered Behavior Technician Certification required within 45 days of onboarding

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Contribute to reducing interfering behaviors and promoting client progress.
• Participate as part of a collaborative team to support each child’s development.
