Job summary

Mental Health Association of Rochester is seeking a Behavioral Technician to work one-on-one with children and/or adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and similar developmental or behavioral challenges. You will help clients develop social, communication, and behavioral skills in a supportive setting.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, tracking milestones, and implementing behavior change plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children with special needs.
• Strong communication skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old.
• Completion of relevant college coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, or human development, or at least one year of experience working with children in roles such as Child Development, Camp Counselor, Paraprofessional, Behavioral Interventionist, ABA Therapist, or Behavior Technician.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in developing social, communication, and behavioral skills.
• Document progress and milestones.
• Implement behavior change plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
