Job summary

Skillful Steps ABA is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to deliver one-on-one ABA services under supervision in the home, school, and community. You will collect progress data using Central Reach and uphold assent-based practices.

You will implement individualized plans, adapt sessions, and communicate with caregivers. Collaboration with the BCBA supports skill growth for children and adolescents with developmental and behavioral needs, while ensuring confidentiality and professional

Qualifications

• RBT certification preferred; we'll support certification for the right candidate.
• Must be 18 or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check clearance upon hire.
• Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs; ASD experience preferred.
• Consistent availability and reliable follow-through on a weekly schedule.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a BCBA.
• Provide direct one-on-one ABA services in the home, school, and/or community.
• Collect and record data on learner progress using Central Reach.
• Collaborate with the supervising BCBA on skill acquisition programming and function-based support strategies.
• Support and expand each learner’s access to communication across all modalities.
• Communicate regularly with caregivers about progress and bring their priorities and observations back to the clinical team.
• Create teaching materials and visuals tailored to the learner’s interests and communication needs.
• Recognize signs of dysregulation or withdrawn assent and respond by adjusting the session.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development, including training in assent-based and trauma-informed practice
