Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as Behavior Technicians. In this role you will work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under a BCBA's guidance.

You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. We provide comprehensive training so you’ll be equipped to help each child, even with no prior experience.

Qualifications

• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• 21+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year).
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Registered Behavior Technician Certification after onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children with autism.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills.
• Collaborate with a BCBA and team to monitor progress.
• Contribute to a safe, supportive learning environment.
