Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking a Behavior Technician to deliver one-on-one support in home-based or community-based settings, working with Board Certified Behavior Analysts. You will help clients build social and communication skills and track progress to meet individualized goals.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with individuals with special needs.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, or human development; or at least one year of related experience.
• If applying as an RBT, provide a copy of your RBT certification/credentials.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children and/or adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and similar developmental delays and behavioral health challenges.
• Help individuals build social and communication skills.
• Support families by addressing repetitive or restrictive behaviors.
• Follow behavior-change plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
• Collect and document progress, milestones, and session information accurately.
• Create encouraging, structured interactions during every session.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Either:
  • Completed college coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, or human development; or
  • At least one year of experience working with children as a Child Development professional, Camp Counselor, Paraprofessional, Behavioral Interventionist, ABA Therapist, or Behavior Technician
• If applying as an RBT, please provide a copy of your RBT certification/credentials.
