Job summary

NovaCare Kids, part of Select Medical, is seeking a Behavior Technician to work 15-20 hours per week, Monday-Friday with varying daily schedule at 5659 Stadium Drive, Kalamazoo. You will work 1:1 with children who have autism, implementing ABA programs under BCBA supervision and receiving training.

Experience with children or prior ABA exposure is preferred. You will collect data, report progress to families and the team, and collaborate within a pediatric, multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, record and document data based on observable client behavior and communicate progress to parents and team.
• Provide 1:1 ABA sessions with children who have autism in home and center settings.
• Assist in implementing ABA programs and Behavior Intervention Plans under BCBA supervision.

Position: Behavior Technician

Schedule: Monday-Friday (Part-Time with varying daily schedule)

NovaCare Kids is seeking a Behavior Technician (BT) to join our fun, collaborative, multi-disciplinary pediatric team. In this role, you’ll work 1:1 with children who have an Autism diagnosis, implementing applied behavior analysis (ABA) programs under the direction and supervision of a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA). Training is provided. Come play a part in supporting our pediatric patients as they learn new skills and achieve their goals. Experience working with children or previous tech/ABA experience preferred. Must be flexible to work a varying schedule Monday-Friday (15-20 hours per week).

Responsibilities

• Detail-Oriented: Collect, record and document data based on observable client behavior and communicate to parents and team members regarding a child’s progress
• Personalized Treatment: Work 1:1 with children who have an Autism diagnosis, in their home and in our center
• Specialized Programs: Implement ABA programs and Behavior Intervention Plans directed and supervised by a BCBA

Qualifications

• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required
