Job summary

POPS ABA seeks compassionate Behavior Technicians to support children on the autism spectrum under a BCBA supervision. You will implement ABA-based strategies in home, school and community settings, helping clients build communication, social and daily living skills.

Competitive pay starting at $20-$25 per hour, with extensive training and ongoing support. Travel to clients' homes is required, providing meaningful opportunities to make a difference.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow instructions, implement behavior intervention plans, and collect accurate data.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to clients’ homes, schools, or other settings.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) created by the BCBA to address the unique needs and goals of each client.
• Provide direct, one-on-one instruction to clients using ABA techniques such as discrete trial training (DTT), naturalistic teaching, and behavior management strategies.
• Collect and record data on client behavior and progress using designated tools and methods.
• Help clients acquire and practice functional skills in areas such as communication, socialization, self-care, and independent living.
• Create a supportive, positive environment that promotes client engagement, motivation, and autonomy.
• Work closely with the BCBA and team members to review progress and adjust strategies as needed for consistency across environments.
• Communicate clearly with clients, families, and team members, providing progress updates and sharing relevant information.
• Engage in continuous professional development to enhance ABA skills and knowledge.
