Job summary

POPS ABA is seeking caring individuals to join as Behavior Technician. You will implement ABA techniques under a BCBA, and help children develop essential life skills in home, school, and community settings.

You'll collect progress data, follow individualized Behavior Intervention Plans, and collaborate with families and our team to support meaningful outcomes. Travel to client locations is expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Follow the BIPs created by the BCBA.
• Provide direct, one-on-one instruction using ABA techniques.
• Collect and record data on client behavior.
• Help clients acquire functional skills.
• Commit to confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Willing to travel to clients’ homes, schools, or other settings.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) created by the BCBA to address the unique needs and goals of each client.
• Provide direct, one-on-one instruction to clients using ABA techniques such as discrete trial training (DTT), naturalistic teaching, and behavior management strategies.
• Collect and record data on client behavior and progress using designated tools and methods.
• Help clients acquire and practice functional skills in areas such as communication, socialization, self-care, and independent living.
• Create a supportive, positive environment that promotes client engagement, motivation, and autonomy.
• Work closely with the BCBA and team members to review progress and adjust strategies as needed for consistency across environments.
• Communicate clearly with clients, families, and team members, providing progress updates and sharing relevant information.
• Engage in continuous professional development to enhance ABA skills and knowledge.
