Job summary

Proud Moments ABA in New Jersey is seeking Behavior Technicians to join our center-based team, working one-on-one with clients under BCBA supervision to implement individualized treatment plans.

This role offers paid training, potential guaranteed hours, competitive pay, and a collaborative, family-focused environment. Candidates should enjoy working with children ages 2-15 and be reliable, with strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience working with children preferred.
• Prior experience providing support to children or adults with behavioral challenges, developmental delays, or special needs preferred.
• Exposure to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities is preferred, though comprehensive training will be provided.
• Reliable personal transportation with the ability to commute consistently to assigned work locations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of client, family, and organizational information in accordance with HIPAA and company policies.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to follow detailed instructions and document information accurately.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to stay organized and adapt to changing schedules or priorities.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with a client to implement behavioral plans designed by BCBA.
• Collect data to monitor progress and report progress.
• Support BCBA with training families on implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors.
• Maintain clear lines of communication with families, supervisors, and other applicable parties.
• Physically assist clients during sessions; involves standing, lifting up to 25+ pounds, and moving with children aged 2–15.
• Any other tasks outlined by BCBA/LBA.
