Job summary

ABA SHINE is seeking Behavior Technicians for their Behavior Respite Program in Lafayette, California. This role offers part-time or full-time in-person work with a competitive salary of $27 to $31 per hour, plus mileage reimbursement. You'll engage clients in meaningful activities, support families, and receive training from qualified professionals. A high school diploma and reliable transportation are required, with an emphasis on a positive and engaging demeanor. Flexible schedules available, including afternoons and weekends.

Position

Behavior Technician – Behavior Respite Program. Part-time or full-time, in-person. Location: Concord, Martinez, and additional openings in Alameda & Contra Costa Counties.

Salary: $27 – $31 per hour. Mileage reimbursement: $0.70 per mile for travel between clients. Flexible scheduling: afternoons, evenings, and weekends available.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Engage clients in fun & meaningful activities such as games, walks, crafts, or other positive interactions.
• Help prevent challenging behaviors by applying proactive behavior strategies or antecedent-based interventions.
• Provide caregiver relief and support, giving parents and caregivers a much-needed break.
• Receive hands‑on training and support from BCBAs and mid-level supervisors.
• Advance your career in ABA, with opportunities to become an RBT or BCBA.
