Job summary

Care Behavioral Concepts in California is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to provide in-home and community ABA therapy, helping clients build skills and reduce challenging behaviors through evidence-based strategies. You will implement plans created by BCBAs and record session data for progress tracking.

Must be available Monday–Friday 2:00 PM–8:00 PM, with possible weekend hours. Travel to client homes is required, and reliable transportation along with a valid driver's license is

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Human Services, or a related field is required.
• Experience with ABA or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel to multiple locations including Garden Grove, Fountain Valley, Westminster, Anaheim, Santa Ana, Fullerton.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy in the home, school, or community settings.
• Implement individualized treatment plans as directed by the BCBA.
• Accurately record and report session data using electronic data collection tools.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
• Maintain regular communication with supervisors regarding client progress.
• Build rapport and create fun, engaging session environments.
• Uphold HIPAA’s ethical and professional standards at all times.

Position Summary

As a Behavior Technician (BT), you will provide in-home and community-based ABA therapy to children, adolescents and adults, helping them build essential skills and reduce challenging behaviors using evidence-based strategies. You’ll implement individualized treatment plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), collect behavior and skill acquisition data, and contribute meaningfully to each client’s progress.

Schedule Requirements

Must be available Monday to Friday between 2:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.

Weekend availability between 8:00am and 2:00pm preferred but not required

Must commit to a minimum of 10 hours during the work week (i.e. not including weekends)

These hours reflect the peak need for client services — consistency and reliability during this time block are essential for client progress and team coordination.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Human Services, or a related field (required)
• Candidates with relevant experience in ABA or working with individuals with developmental disabilities (highly preferred)
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Reliable personal transportation
• Valid driver’s license and active auto insurance
• Ability to travel to and from client homes and/or community settings (drive time included)
• Must be ok driving to service locations: Garden Grove, Fountain Valley, Westminster, Anaheim, Santa Ana, Fullerton
• Must complete all onboarding steps and attend a paid initial training period
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities
• Must obtain criminal background clearance (reimbursement provided)
• Must provide proof of a negative TB test

Physical Requirements

Ability to engage in physical activity with children, including sitting on the floor, kneeling, standing for extended periods, and moving quickly as needed to support client safety

Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs occasionally

Comfort working in home environments that may vary in setup, noise level, and distractions
