Job summary

North Clackamas School District is seeking a Paraeducator II - Behavior Team Support. This part-time position covers 6.5 hours per day on a 180-day work calendar and provides instructional support, behavioral intervention, and training to assist Special Education teachers and other paraeducators.

The role focuses on supporting students with severe behavioral communication and intellectual needs, with the potential for one-on-one assignments.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or two years post-high school; substitution possible via paraprofessional assessment.
• First aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers and specialists in assessment and curriculum implementation.
• Model and train staff on academic and behavioral interventions.
• Provide coaching on disability awareness and trauma-informed approaches.
• Train staff on behavior management and de-escalation techniques.
• Document student behavior and progress to support planning.
• Escort students between activities and locations as needed.
• Maintain student confidentiality in communications.
