Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of post‑high school education; CTS requirement may be substituted by passing ETS competency exam.
• Able to be certified in first aid, CPR, and/or operation of defibrillators.
• Able to be trained in instructional and behavior intervention methodologies.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers and specialists in assessment, curriculum implementation, and student interactions.
• Provide complex toileting, feeding, mobility, and personal hygiene support.
• Support instructional activities in small and large groups and one‑on‑one settings.
• Implement behavior support plans and document student progress.
• Assist in implementing therapy plans and ensuring student safety during activities.
