Job summary

North Clackamas School District seeks a Paraeducator II for the Middle School Structured Learning Center to support academics for students with special needs. This 6.5-hour day (.8125 FTE), part-time, permanent role involves assisting teachers, supervising students, and providing individualized support in self-contained classrooms.

Initial wage placement follows the NCSD/OSEA Collective Bargaining Agreement with a 185-day work calendar and a 9:05 a.m. to 4:05 p.m. schedule, subject to change.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or two years post-high school education (substitution possible via exam).
• Able to be certified in first aid/CPR and defibrillators.
• Trained in instructional and behavior intervention methodologies and student safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers and specialists in assessment, curriculum implementation, student interactions, and safety.
• Provide instructional support and tutoring in large groups, small groups, and one-on-one.
• Implement behavior support and intervention plans; document progress.
• Assist in implementing physical and occupational therapy plans and mobility activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information per FERPA; communicate effectively with staff, students, and families.
