Job summary

SESI, a division of FullBloom, seeks a Behavior Support Specialist to collaborate with school staff and families to support students with intensive behavioral needs. You will provide customized behavior support and participate in a multidisciplinary team delivering holistic guidance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree highly preferred.
• Experience implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive needs.
• Emotional consistency and resilience to handle stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with school staff, teachers and leaders to support students with intensive behavioral needs.
• Provide consistent monitoring and support throughout the school site (classrooms, transitions).
• Support the creation and implementation of behavior support plans.
• Record, track, and provide documentation of behavioral incidents and progress toward goals.
• Utilize positive behavioral intervention and school incentive programs.
• Implement de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and physical intervention if necessary to maintain safety.
• Foster a positive environment that encourages development of social/behavioral skills.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop differentiated support.
• Participate in debriefing after challenging behavior/crisis situations.
• Facilitate communication with parents.
