Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. is seeking a Behavioral Support Technician to support students with intensive behavioral needs under IEP guidance.

You will provide individualized behavior support, help implement plans, and track progress alongside a multidisciplinary team. The role involves de-escalation and crisis-management skills, collaboration with school staff, and direct communication with families to reinforce strategies, while contributing to a positive, inclusive learning

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience in educational settings implementing behavioral interventions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with an assigned student to meet goals in the IEP, providing accommodations and modifications as necessary.
• Assist in development and modification of behavior support plans; implement plans and record data on behaviors and progress.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies including de-escalation techniques and crisis management.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment to develop appropriate social and behavioral skills.
• Communicate effectively with parents and supervise students to ensure safety during transit to and from locations.
