Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI), a division of FullBloom, seeks a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support students per their IEP. You will help implement behavior plans and provide life-skill guidance alongside a multidisciplinary team.

The role involves monitoring, documentation, de-escalation, and collaboration with staff and families to foster inclusive learning and safety for students with intensive needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college experience or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive needs.
• Emotional consistency and resilience to handle stressful situations.
• Flexibility to jump in and support to ensure safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying developmental, cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Provide consistent monitoring and support throughout the school site (classrooms, transition areas, etc.).
• Support the creation and implementation of behavior support plans.
• Record, track, and document behavioral incidents and progress toward goals.
• Utilize PBIS strategies and school site incentive programs.
• Assist in de-escalation, crisis management, and safety of students and staff.
• Foster a positive environment to develop social and behavioral skills.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to differentiate support for intensive needs.
• Participate in staff debriefings after challenging situations.
• Facilitate communication with parents.
