Qualifications

• 6 months+ direct, hands-on experience with adults who have IDD and severe behaviors.
• Experience implementing BIPs and crisis intervention techniques (e.g., BEST).
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid California Driver's License with acceptable driving record and ability to transport participants.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and provide direct behavioral support for adults with IDD who exhibit severe, challenging behaviors.
• Safely respond to behavioral incidents using evidence-based intervention techniques.
• Collect and document behavioral data, participant progress, incidents, and other required records.
• Promote independence, community inclusion, and skill development through person-centered instruction and active support.
• Assist participants with activities of daily living, transportation, and other individualized support needs while ensuring health and safety.
• Collaborate with Behavior Specialists and interdisciplinary team to ensure consistent implementation of strategies.
