Job summary

TERI Inc. in Oceanside, CA is seeking a Behavior Support & Health and Wellness Professional to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities build healthier routines, independence, and meaningful community connections.

This role blends behavior support, direct care, adaptive fitness, health education, and community engagement while delivering individualized support and documenting progress.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or related populations.
• Ability to adapt activities for diverse needs including behavioral, cognitive, physical, sensory, and communication support.
• Comfortable providing hands-on direct support and personal care as needed.

Responsibilities

• Implement Behavior Intervention Plans and crisis intervention when needed.
• Develop adaptive health and wellness activities (fitness, nutrition, mindfulness).
• Adapt wellness activities to participant needs for independence and participation.
• Provide direct support with daily living activities and transportation.
• Facilitate community-based wellness experiences and access to resources.
• Document participant progress and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and safely transport participants.
