TERI Inc. in Oceanside, CA seeks a Behavior Support & Music Enrichment Professional to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities build confidence, communication, independence, and connections through music and person-centered support.

This role combines behavior support, direct care, music enrichment, and community engagement, delivering individualized plans and creative music experiences to promote communication, emotional wellness, social engagement, and meaningful

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred.
• Demonstrated musical ability and experience with music instruction or enrichment.
• Ability to adapt music activities for varying needs.
• Valid CA driver’s license and ability to obtain CPR/First Aid and related training.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and positive behavioral support.
• Develop and facilitate adapted music activities (rhythm, singing, songwriting, etc.).
• Adapt instruction for participants' behavioral, cognitive, physical, sensory, and communication needs.
• Provide direct support with activities of daily living and transportation.
• Facilitate community-based experiences and inclusive participation.
• Collect behavioral and program data and document progress and incidents.
• Collaborate with leadership, families, and interdisciplinary teams while ensuring safety.
