Job summary

United Cerebral Palsy Association of San Joaquin, Calaveras, and Amador Counties seeks an Instructional Assistant Level I for the Behavior Management Program at the Tracy Adult Development Center and Hammer Ranch. You will provide functional skills instruction and personal care to adults with developmental and physical disabilities, performing DSP duties with an added behavior-program layer.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED, with preference for day/residential program experience.
• Language Ability: Read, write and understand English; strong oral and written communication.
• Math Ability: Basic mathematical concepts.
• Computer Skills: Working knowledge of personal computers.
• Driving Skills: Valid CA Class C license; clean driving record; insured.
• Lift and Safe-Transfer: Lifting and transfers are essential; certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides group and individual instruction daily.
• Provides direct personal care, including toileting, as needed.
• Records daily data on ISP objectives and progress.
• Follows safety procedures and community outings.
• Implements behavior-plan activities as directed.
