UCP Long Island is seeking a Behavior Specialist to join our Residential Services team in Commack, NY. The role involves assessing needs under a licensed psychologist, developing individualized behavior support plans, and training staff to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

You'll conduct assessments, implement plans that promote self-direction and emotional well-being, and monitor outcomes while collaborating with psychology, psychiatry, and residential teams.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Applied Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Educational Psychology, or a related field.
• Experience in behavioral assessment and intervention.
• Strong written communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Passion for supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
