Job summary

UCP Long Island is seeking motivated Behavior Intervention Specialists for our Residential program in Hauppauge, NY. Roles include evaluation, development of individualized goal plans, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. Both part-time and full-time opportunities are available to support our mission.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Applied Psychology or four to ten years related experience and/or training.
• MA degree in Applied Psychology from an accredited program (including internship) such as school, clinical, counseling, or educational.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate individuals served based on tests and annual assessments to determine needs.
• Develop written, detailed goals and plan of care with measurable objectives and timelines.
• Participate in weekly IDT meetings and staff meetings with interdisciplinary team.
• Provide hands-on training to direct support staff and review all treatment plans.
• Gain knowledge of applicable regulations and ensure implementation of ICF requirements.
• Maintain contact with psychology staff and psychiatric services to share behavioral information.
