Job summary

TERI Inc. is seeking a Center for the Arts Behavior Specialist (RBT) to join our Oceanside team on a full-time basis.

Under supervision by a TERI BCBA, you will implement Behavior Intervention Plans, collect data, coach staff, and support program operations across classroom and community settings. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of direct experience with significant needs, or a bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct experience with individuals with significant special needs and behavioral disorders, or a bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience implementing Behavior Intervention Plans and collecting behavioral data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for reports and data summaries.
• Ability to provide staff coaching and feedback in classroom/community settings.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans, instructional plans, and active support strategies in classroom and community settings.
• Mentor, coach, and train Direct Support Professionals on behavior support strategies, crisis prevention, and TERI standards.
• Collect, analyze, and document behavioral data, participant progress, incidents, injuries, and other reports.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation using approved techniques to maintain safety.
• Support participant assessments, intakes, goal development, and ongoing program needs with BCBA and Program Directors.
• Assist with daily program operations and provide direct participant coverage, including ADLs, transportation, and community activities.
• Observe staff performance and provide constructive feedback to promote high-quality implementation.
