Job summary

RE-1 Valley School District is seeking a dedicated Behavior Paraeducator to support middle and high school students with behavioral and social-emotional needs. You will implement instructional and behavioral strategies under the supervision of certified staff, helping students develop self-regulation and safety in a structured classroom.

The role includes documenting progress, collaborating with teachers, and participating in team meetings. Full-time with benefits, 4-day week (Tue–Fri).

Qualifications

• Pass Work Keys reading, math and business writing if no Associate's degree.
• Aptitude for supporting students and maintaining confidentiality.
• Experience working with children or youth is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small group behavioral support.
• Implement behavior plans and IEP goals under supervision.
• Assist with instructional activities and classroom management.
• Document incidents and progress while safeguarding records.
• Assist with health, safety, and mobility needs as required.
