Job summary

Devereux is seeking a Behavior Interventionist to support adults with behavioral needs in the Ventura County area. Initial training will occur in Goleta, with workload potentially in Santa Barbara.

You will work under a BCBA, implementing behavior plans and training staff while reducing challenging behaviors and teaching replacement skills. Domestic travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Possesses a Bachelor degree in a related field (psychology, social work, human services, education).
• 12 ABA units and/or 1 year of experience in designing/implementing behavior modification interventions.
• Or 2 years of experience designing/implementing behavior modification interventions.

Responsibilities

• Reduce problem behaviors and teach functionally equivalent replacement behaviors.
• Implement behavior plans and respond with proactive/reactive strategies to support behavior change and D-PBIS.
• Provide direction and mentorship to family members and staff on behavioral strategies and programs.
• Work under the supervision of a BCBA and receive ongoing training.

Skills

Valid driver's license

Education

Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, human services or education

12 ABA units (or 1 year of ABA experience)

2 years experience in behavior modification interventions
