Qualifications

• Must meet ESSA Standards.
• Experience with behaviorally challenged students.
• Knowledge of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports initiative.
• Training in Restorative Practices or willingness to be trained.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to receive Crisis Prevention/Intervention Training.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and guidance for students who are behaviorally challenged.
• Apply knowledge of Positive Behavior Support Initiative to support students and staff.
• Implement behavior interventions for small groups and individual students.
• Document and provide information for planning purposes for administrators, teachers, instructional staff and parents.
• Develop and maintain highly-organized, student-centered systems that are conducive to supporting the behavioral needs of students.
• Maintain calm demeanor while working with children with specific behavioral needs.
