Job summary

ACCEL Schools' Riverside Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio is seeking a Behavior Intervention Specialist to support at-risk students, address conduct and attendance, and develop individualized behavior plans within a rigorous, nurturing classroom environment.

You will participate in IEP teams, collaborate with staff and families, monitor attendance, and implement function-based interventions, BIPs, and FBAs while maintaining records and contributing to a positive school culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, social work, health, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate understanding and a receptive attitude toward behavioral needs of students.
• Develop, implement and monitor Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), function-based interventions, and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP).
• Meet with students requiring intervention and develop individualized behavior tracking and plans.
• Participate in IEP Teams and collaborate with students, parents and staff.
• Support staff with crisis intervention and attendance initiatives.
• Maintain timely records consistent with school policies.
