Job summary

Bright Star Schools is seeking a Behavior Intervention Implementation (BII) Specialist to provide targeted behavioral support in a 12-month, full-time role. The specialist will collaborate with case managers, teachers, school psychologists, and the BID Specialist to implement IEPs and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), reinforcing positive behaviors and monitoring progress.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of at least two years of college (48 semester units or 60 quarter units) or an Associate degree or higher.
• Willingness to obtain Crisis Prevention and De-escalation certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with BID, school psychologists, teachers, and administrators to implement the student’s IEP with fidelity.
• Implement and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and reinforce positive behaviors.
• Provide social-emotional support and crisis de-escalation as needed.
• Observe, track, and report progress toward IEP goals using behavior logs and records.
• Document services in Welligent and communicate progress with the BID provider and case manager.
